VIDEOS
These are videos I created to help me process what it is I am thinking about in my paintings, I am fascinated with the way shapes change over the course of a day and how things shift depending on my point of view. Things are not always what we perceive them to be.
"transition" is to change from one state to another. Yet I am also drawn to the question of permanence. In all that changes, doesn anything remain, does anything continue? I focused on one triangle of light that endured regardless of my movements.
The concept for these two short movies was mine, however I commissioned a videographer to create these time lapse videos of the things I observe when sitting on my deck at my remote cottage on Sandy Neck. Time marches on, while I watch.
This video shows where I get my inspiration for most of my paintings and a little taste of what it is like to be there. Thanks to Robert Scott Button for putting this video together for me.
